Special Issue: Indigenous Solidarities – Critical Criminology Vol. 33(1)
The March 2025 issue of Critical Criminology presents a powerful special section on Indigenous Solidarities, guest-edited by Rassa Ghaffari and Luca Palmas. This collection of open-access articles explores the intersections of migration, resistance, and criminalization across global contexts—from the Balkan route to Tunisia, from digital infrastructures to environmental activism.
This special issue was brought together by the Solroutes research team, drawing on years of immersive ethnographic fieldwork across borders and solidarity spaces. Their collaborative scholarship sheds light on the lived experiences of mobility, the infrastructures of resistance, and the criminalization of care.
Highlights include:
- Ethnographies of border crossings and solidarity networks
- Analyses of criminalization and activist resilience
- Critical reflections on fieldwork and transnationalism
This issue offers timely insights into the politics of mobility, state violence, and grassroots resistance.
