SOLROUTES part of the International Conference on Migration, Research and Identity in Comics
SOLROUTES partners with Ca’ Foscari, University of Venice, in an international conference exploring how graphic narratives represent migration, journeys, and identity.
The Sense of the Journey: Migration, Research and Identity in Comics brings together scholars examining migrant experiences through the lens of contemporary comics and graphic journalism. The event will take place on Thursday, 27 November 2025 at Ca’ Foscari, Venice.
Andrea Ferraris, illustrator and visual researcher collaborating with the SOLROUTES project, will present “Attraversando il confine” (Crossing the Border), exploring how graphic narratives visualize migrant journeys and solidarity networks across contested European borders.
