Solroutes and DEBMAT Fieldwork in Mallorca — Book Presentations This Week
Solroutes, together with the DEBMAT project (Debordering Materiality along Migration Routes — FIS 3), is conducting fieldwork in Mallorca this week to document and analyse the Algerian migration route. The team is meeting with local social actors to map routes, collect testimonies, and examine the material traces of border crossing and EU necropolitics.
When: On Tuesday and Thursday, July 14&16, at 19:00
What: Two public presentations of the book Boza, followed by discussion and Q&A
Where: Electrica Ateneu Popular and Espirafoc Library
Speakers: Luca Giliberti and Luca Queirolo Palmas will present findings from the Solroutes/DEBMAT field research and discuss border dynamics, materiality, and the politics of life and death at EU frontiers. They will talk with Tomeu Mesquida, outdoors.
