Another SOLROUTES PhD Thesis Successfully Defended
Congratulations to Ismail on this important achievement, a milestone for the whole SOLROUTES team!
Developed within the SOLROUTES project, Ismail Oubad’s joint doctoral thesis, Dwelling in Dispersal: Logic of Subtraction, Infrastructuring of Endurance, and the Production of Fugitivity along the Belgian-French Route to the UK, examines migration along the Belgian-French route towards the United Kingdom. Bringing together questions of dispersal, endurance, and fugitivity, it explores how people navigate hardship and how solidarity collectives work to sustain dignity and resist disappearance. Undertaken jointly at the University of Genoa and the University of Liège, under the supervision of Luca Queirolo Palmas and Marco Martiniello, the thesis contributes to the study of migration, borders, and solidarity.
